Saratoga Springs and Saratoga County offer several destinations for beginner through advanced mountain bikers. The most popular destination with formal cut trails close to downtown Saratoga Springs is the Stables at Skidmore College. The other destinations are more remote with informal trails in state forest lands. The northern region of Saratoga County is mountainous with some good steep climbs. Just be careful when mountain biking in wilderness areas during the fall hunting season.
