Old Forge Lake Cruises will be hosting a Fundraiser Cruise for an Olympic Athlete and 2009 FIL Word Luge Champion – Erin Hamlin. Erin will be on Old Forge Lake Cruise vessel the “Clearwater” on June 7 for a two hour cruise.

During the Summer of ’99, at the age of 12, Erin Hamlin was introduced to the sport of Luge through a USA Luge Slider Search in Syracuse, NY. After being selected to a development team, she began training in Lake Placid, NY where she continues to reside for most of the off-season. A member of the Junior National Team from 2003-2006 and competitor on the Junior World Cup Circuit from 2002-2005, Erin captured two Junior National Championship titles, and a collection of Junior World Cup medals, including an overall bronze medal in ’05.
