Dan Ladd, Outdoors Editor of The Chronicle newspaper, will present a program on what a hunter sees and experiences from January through December. His talk will include a discussion on trail cameras, getting deer out of the woods and finding access to public hunting land in the Adirondacks.

Mr. Ladd is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys not only hunting, but fishing, hiking, kayaking and cross-country skiing. He is also the author of a new book Deer Hunting in the Adirondacks.

The Saratoga City Ballet Company is pleased to announce auditions for the Patti Pugh Moore Scholarship for Dance on August 29th, 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the dance company’s studio, 27 Jumel Place, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The scholarship has been made possible through the generous support of Patti Pugh Moore, the Saratoga City Ballet’s founding director, and her husband John Moore. Sponsors in the dance community have also contributed to the scholarship to make this opportunity possible for aspiring dancers.

Scholarships are being awarded to area girls and boys for study at the Saratoga City Ballet School during the 2009-10 school year.
