SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – For the second weekend in a row, the 2010 Saratoga Showcase of Homes welcomed thousands of visitors through its doors. “With one more weekend to go, we are hoping to close out this year’s showcase with a bang, and be able to write substantial donation checks to our two designated charities” said Barry Potoker, Executive Director of the Saratoga Builders Association. “I believe it shows that people are thinking again about investing in their homes. The event is a major fundraiser for both Rebuilding Together Saratoga County as well as Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties.

Saratoga Showcase of Homes Hands Out Awards to Local Builders

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – Twelve builders walked home with awards at the 15th annual Showcase of Homes Awards dinner held at the Gideon Putnam Hotel on Thursday, September 16. More than 275 people were in attendance for the evening’s festivities.

Accolades were handed out in 7 divisions, which were broken down into price categories after the homes were judged by 19 building industry professionals on Wednesday, September 15th.

The Saratoga County Office for the Aging has openings for volunteers to deliver meals to the homebound elderly in the city of Saratoga Springs. Meals are picked up at the Saratoga Senior Center at 5 William Street and delivery takes approximately one hour. You can deliver as little as once a month or every week. SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – The 15th Annual Showcase of Homes kicks of the festivities with “Chefs – Saratoga Style” event this Friday September 17th from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Many of the showcase homes will play host to restaurant chefs from around the area who will create samples of their signature dishes for tasting. Tickets are $35 and also include admission to the Showcase homes throughout the three weekends. Tickets for this event are limited and are only available at Adirondack Trust Company branches, Curtis Lumber in Ballston Spa Realty USA in Saratoga Springs and Roohan Realty in Saratoga Springs.
