Saratoga Springs, NY – November 6, 2010 – The Front Room Gallery is happy to announce its Grand Opening Reception on November 6 from 5-8pm in conjunction with Saratoga’s First Saturday. The reception is free and open to the public.

The mission of The Front Room Gallery, Saratoga’s Beekman Street Art District’s newest addition, is to provide an outlet to show and sell local artwork and handmade goods. Coffee News of the Capital Region is distributed to over 250 restaurants, coffee shops and waiting areas throughout Saratoga Springs, Malta/Round Lake, Clifton Park & Halfmoon New York. It provides free, entertaining reading to patrons of these Saratoga County businesses every week. The 22 year old paper was initially created by the late Canadian publisher, Jean Daum. It has now expanded to over 800 franchisees throughout the US and over 400 more worldwide. The paper has been published locally since May 2008 as the Coffee News of the Capital Region by the Halfmoon NY based firm, R.Beck Associates LLC.

Announce Breast Cancer Awareness Drive and Fundraiser

Saratoga Springs, New York– The Saratoga Springs Firefighters Local 343 (SSFF), with support from Chief Robert Williams and Commissioner of Public Safety Richard Wirth, are proud to announce their “Cares Enough to Wear Pink” breast cancer awareness campaign. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as such, the Saratoga Springs Firefighters will be trading in their usual blue uniforms for pink T-shirts all month long as a demonstration of support for those affected by this terrible disease.

The members of the Saratoga Springs Firefighters, and their families, have been greatly affected by cancer. “By wearing pink, our members hope to raise awareness for how many lives cancer, particularly breast cancer, affects every day” [...]

Saratoga Arts in partnership with author, researcher and supernatural historian, Mason Winfield, presents haunted History Ghost Walks of Saratoga Springs. The 90-minute walking tour will combine information on the history and architecture of Saratoga Springs with background on the mysterious, para psychological aspects of our city. Tour groups will leave at 7 P.M. from Saratoga Arts on Wednesdays, Fridays, & Saturdays in October. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids age 7-11, payment in cash at the door.
