Airway Meadows Golf Club Begins 2010 Season

GANSEVOORT, NY – Airway Meadows Golf Club is opening for the 2010 golf season Friday, March 19, 2010. Tee times are available from Noon on. This is the earliest it has ever opened in it’s 11 year history. They are allowing Front 9 walkers only at this time. The more shaded back 9 is not open as yet. A lack of snow and rain in March has contributed to the drying of the course.

Saratoga Springs, NY —- Saratoga’s newest shoe boutique, Stella’s of Saratoga, opens March 18, 2010 and will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, April 9th with a cocktail party and Saturday, April 10th with music and pampering services. Leadership Adirondack Hosts Charity Raffle

GLENS FALLS – The stakes are high; but so is the payoff — for the whole community, not just the winning ticket holders. That’s the message members of this year’s Leadership Adirondack class are spreading as they invite local residents to participate in a community raffle to raise money for The Open Door Soup Kitchen and Day Center in Glens Falls.

With only 500 total tickets for sale at $100 each, the class hopes to raise $25,000 for The Open Door, with another $20,000 going to the grand prize ticket holder, followed by $3,000 and $2,000 to the second- and third-place winners respectively. The team is giving itself until April 15 to sell all tickets, at which point a drawing will take place at the Adirondack Sports Complex.

Non-partisan group launches website at www.citizensforwilton.org to provide background information and promote action by local residents

(Wilton, New York) A non-partisan citizens group called Citizens for Wilton has formed to help town residents navigate the complex issues related to the town’s growth and development over the next decade.

Spurred in part by the recent discussions of the Town Board regarding the Town Planner position, the group has developed a website at www.citizensforwilton.org with relevant information on critical issues, including town planning, roads and traffic, parks and recreation, and water and sewer. The site also includes town meeting schedules, links to published media articles, and ways for citizens to get involved. Kool and The Gang Host Dance Party At Vapor Night Club

Kool & The Gang, famous for creating immortal party songs such as ‘Celebration’ and ‘Jungle Boogie,’ will be performing at Vapor Night Club inside Saratoga Gaming and Raceway on Thursday, April 1.

This iconic group first emerged from the Jersey City projects in 1964 as The Jazziacs and consisted of seven members. Together, they created a unique blend of jazz, soul and funk. Over the next few years the group went by various names, but eventually settled on Kool & The Gang. In 1969 their self-titled debut album earned them their first Billboard R&B charted single.

Throughout the 1970’s, their career continued to develop with hit singles such as ‘Funky Man’, ‘Who’s Gonna Take the Weight’ and ‘I Want to Take You Higher’.
