We stayed here with a group during Americade, The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, Trying to take a shower was terrible because the water went from freezing cold to scalding hot. Breakfast was not a great the hot food was mostly cold and not very appetizing. But the biggest dissapointment was the pool, it wasnt even filled. When we asked about it we were informed that the pool is never ready until the middle of June. No where on the web sit does it say this.very misleading,we will not stay there again.

OUCH!!! We usually get rave reviews on our breakfast. We are way over the brand standards of just cereal and bagles. We tried to add biscuits and sausage gravy, to go with our already famous waffles, for the first time to give the AMERICADERS something to stick to your ribs. Maybe we are still learning??? But trying. First comment on this one???
We will learn from this and do better. THANKS
The pool is always opened about mid-june, after americade. Night temps in high 30's to mid 40's and winter maintenance makes it imposible to prep sooner. It is posted on WEB but in fine print. I'll make more visible next year. Again Thanks for the info so we can improve.
We try to make EVERBODY happy. But......
Sorry you'll never be back. You'll be missing out on a Great thing. GM

We just returned from the travelodge and were greatly disappointed.Photos were obviously of rooms in another building .Although the rooms were fairly clean, the place is very dated. We had to lift our door to shut them and you could see through the inch gap under them. When we went for the breakfast so boasted,we were told they no longer offered any best kept secret buffet. On our last day there were no showers and no water, and not even an apology, much less a discount.

Perhaps this guest was in another buildling other than where the photographs were taken. We are not a new motel and appeal to those customers looking for a family atmosphere and low rates. The breakfast buffet was stopped because many of the American tourists are seeking FREE breakfasts and so we offer a FREE Continental Breakfast...it's hard to charge a few guests for a buffet when others desire free. It's unfortunate when people can only find the negative to write about and none of the positives ...I wish the MANY guests that tell us what a wonderful time they have had and all the repeat guests would write about their visits.
We tire of people seeking a holiday and then searching for ways to find discounts when they selected less than a 5 star motel due to rates.
TRAVELODGE is medium priced for the family that wants to enjoy what we have to offer - picnic area, play yard, large pool, Continental Breakfast, trolley access and smiling faces!
ALL FOR LOW RATES!! We are not for everyone!

My husband and I stayed here and we had a big room with a king size bed. The room was very clean and the staff was really nice. I would tell my friends and family to stay here. There was also a trolley from the motel that goes down town Lake George. We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed here on May 23 and 24 2009
