Thoroughly enjoyed another relaxing week at Paradise Pines. Last weekend was "Christmas in July" All the children were thrilled with a visit from Santa. My family has been going there every year for the past 13 years. The owners Mike and Gina make us feel like family, the staff is wonderful, friendly and always there to help.
Paradise Pines attracts the clientele that remembers camping the way it used to be. Friendly and willing to assist your neighbor. It is always a pleasure going there and I will be going back in a couple of weeks for another week. I just love watching the kids having fun on the playground, riding the go carts or seeing Yogi and getting to hold his hand.
Visit them, you won't be disappointed.

We try to get to Upstate NY and VT every couple of years and always stay at this campground. The park is clean, well run and the owners and staff are accommodating and attentive. Plus there is always something to do for adults and children.

Our family found this campground 21 years ago and we were hooked. Every year there are improvements not only with the campground itself but with the weekend events and every weekend is a special event! Halloween happens to be our favourite as it lasts 2 weekends! The owners are all heart and the services offered are outstanding. There is a family atmosphere here that can't be beat! We highly recommend this place!

After leaving the North Java Yogi, we decided to try out as many Yogi's as we could because of the amazing time we had at North Java. We booked this trip along with another family and were expecting the same experience. Boy were we wrong!! This campground is NOTHING like the brochure, website or the other Yogi. We arrived an hour early after traveling 6 1/2 hours to get there. They absolutely refused to let us in. We went to the bathrooms and they were dirty and smelly! The kids refused to use them. When they finally let us in, we were lead to our site which we believed was to be on a beach. Nope it was a cliff that was completely covered in poison ivy and poison oak. The river was more like a creek with no fish in it. The staff was miserable, including the owners. We even heard one staff tell other campers that they hated children! We paid the extra money for the wrist band so the kids (ages 4 & 5) could do the activities. More waste of money. The activities were none existent, the mini golf is really old and mosquito infested. The kids enjoyed the bounce pillow which was only open at weird hours through out the day and staff was never there. Anytime there was an activity, there was a sign stating "if no activity staff is present, please go to the store". We ALWAYS had to find someone because no one was ever around. The wagon ride was horrible. We were told adults had to sit to the front of the wagon because the wagon was run down and they were afraid it was going to break. No singing and until the very end when she sang "The wheels on the bus". The pools were dirty and there was even an incident where a child had a bowel movement in it and it was never emptied out! Also, the waterslide is a blow up with a sprinkler at the top. TONS of porta potties located all over and they smelled! They were being emptied one day while we were at the pool and we watched it drip all over the walkway to the water slide. We no longer went to the pool area. We took a walk around the campground and most sites were all covered with poison oak. Also, we thought about getting the tubes that we were included with the wrist band purchase. These no longer exist. We had to venture out of the park each day to keep the kids busy and ended up spending a TON of extra money because there simply was nothing to do at the Yogi park! The friends we went with brought their own golf cart due to a permanent disability. The staff was rude and even came to the site asking who the handicapped person was. The staff did not know where sites were located and seem to not know what they were doing. After this visit we are contemplating whether we would ever go to another again. This place was a HUGE waste of money and there is nothing "family" about it. We would not recommend this site to anyone!!!

We would have liked the opportunity to contact this guest to speak with them prior to responding to their review. We had hoped to have more insight regarding their concerns. Their concerns were not brought to the attention of any of the staff members and would have been address prior to their departure if they had. Any constructive criticism from our campers is used to improve our operations. Hours of operation for any of our amenities and facilities are available at time of making a reservation. We encourage this guest to contact us at the park and hope for the opportunity to serve them again. We are confident that their next stay will be a good one. Tami Demers, Customer Service Rep

My family and I have been camping at Jellystone Park since 2000, it all started with another family camping there asking us to spend the day with them, the amount of activities was a big draw to us because at that time we had an 18 year old a 16 year old and a 7 year old and if you have kids keeping them all busy can be a task in itself Jellystone was the perfect fit the older boys loved the basketball and hide and go seek at night and little one loved the play ground and riding his bike the saftey of the park was also a big draw the staff and Mike and Gina always knew the names of the kids and kept track of who was and wasn't supposed to be in the campground. Now my kids and granddaughter come here and I still love this place and I am happy to call it our second home. This is a great family campground check it out and see for yourself!!!

In response to Mike and family: I don’t know why somebody would write a review of a campground using 1 day out of 9 as an example of what the staff at Paradise Pines was like. I am one of the staff. I am the Staff that you woke up at 11:30 PM the day you checked and took you to your site! I am the Staff that you asked if you could get some wood at 11:30 at night and unlocked our woodshed and brought you 2 bundles of wood! I am the Staff that did most of the Hey rides and train rides that your family participated in while you sat in you car night and day for 8 days. I am one of the Staff that helped your children into the hot air balloon on Saturday and was talking to your wife about what a great time they were having for the last 7 days. I am the Staff that you asked Sunday morning if you could bring your belongings to the large pavilion to sort out and dry. I am the Staff that rearranged the tables in that pavilion so you could get your belongings out of the wind and rain. (It was the beginning of hurricane “Irene”). I was one of the Staff that was trying to eat lunch in the small pavilion when you brought your 2 dogs in an eating area, past the no dogs allowed sign, to ask if we had some dry towels to dry your dogs off. ( Which we gave you). I was one of the Staff that told you that the dryers would not work without power as you were walking towards the Laundromat with your arms full of clothes. ( You were not happy but it was not our fault! NO POWER! ).

Tenting is always a challenge and in the Adirondacks is even more of a challenge with our changing weather. Most people that tent do not bring a lot of electronics with them and if they do they will usually keep them in there vehicle to protect them from adverse weather. It started raining Sunday around 1 AM. It was the leading edge of hurricane “Irene”. We checked the river at 8 AM Sunday and it was still 2 to 3 feet below its banks. The owners of the campground (Mike and Gina Lenhard) offered everybody in tents the option of moving to a cabin at no extra charge as it was raining very hard. Animals are not allowed in any of our cabins (its an allergy thing) but they had decided to break there own rule for the people in tents.

I don’t know why your wife wanted to talk to the Staff and I never heard of our Staff saying they were too busy to talk to a customer. I don’t know of anything the Staff could do for you that wasn’t done. There are a lot of things that go on in the background that campers don’t see but take for granted. We were busy trying to get electric to the well, boiler and phones. If it was at this time that you wanted attention from the Staff we may have told you that we were busy this is not the norm at Yogi Bear @ Paradise Pines.

After 40 years of camping at various campgrounds throughout the Adirondack region. In 2001 we decided to become seasonals at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park - Paradise Pines much due to Gina & Mike Lenhard and their wonderful staff of knowledgeable, caring people. It is a fun, friendly, relaxing campsite with numerous activities for the kids and families, not to mention the fun theme weekends. Gina, Mike and their staff make you feel like family.
Hats off to this years staff. Despite two floods and a rainy summer they were there helping campers and improvising programs whenever it was necessary. A special thanks to the staff who arose at 2:30am when “Irene“ came calling, with the rapid rising of the Schroon River to flood stage. This staff rescued a family that had become trapped in a flooded cabin, relocating them to higher ground. The staff continued to work all week readying the camp for Labor Day Weekend. A weekend that was enjoyed by all.
Paradise Pines is a terrific family campground. Try it … You’ll like it!

There is no other place my children want to be in the summer! The campground is clean and all amenities are within an easy walking distance. My husband & I are confident that our children (13 & 10) are safe as they wonder and play in the campground. We have camped @ Yogi for 10 years! We have tried other places but our kids always ask to come back to Paradise Pines! The "workers" have always looked out for our children and made our stay a pleasure! We will keep coming as long as the Leonards are in operation!

To: mike and family.....first of all the flood happened Monday early morning and the staff awoke at 2:30am to try to help stranded campers from flooded cabins and trailer sites and save as many trailers, cars, and equipment as possible. They tried to awake people as they saw the water rise but if they didn't see that you had taken on some water you have to understand that they were a little overwhelmed. They did their utmost to accommodate everyone but if some of the staff were a little side-tracked then you must be a little more understanding. Mike and Gina give 150% to this place and they should only get rave reviews.

We have been camping at Paradise Pines for about 13 years . Our son was small then and 21 now and he still loves to go there, at Halloween especially. People are friendly and helpful, the activities for kids are endless and what was most important to us when our son was small was the safety factor. You just didn't have to worry there, not like most campgrounds. People watch out for other peoples kids, it's like a family there...every time we pull into the gate it's like coming home, and that's a great feeling.

Our family has been camping at Yogi Bear Paradise Pines for five years now. It is our very favorite place to vacation. Mike, Gina, and the staff always make our family feel like we are a part of their families. We look forward to our trip there every year. We have been on countless train rides, Hey Hey Hey rides and sat at bon fires as well as just lounging at the beach. We can't wait to go back next year!

We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Paradise Pines and had a fantastic time. Our kids, 9 and 11, were busy every minute of the day. The staff were friendly and helpful and there were activities were both of the kids as well as us adults! Its a great location for hiking, fishing and kayaking and only a short drive to Lake George and Lake Placid. I would highly recommend this campground.

My children and I camp at Jellystone every August. It is a fantastic family oriented campground. It's safe, well maintained and there is always lots for the kids to do. When we leave, I always have to ask the kids how their vacation was, as I hardly see them! They hardly left the jumping pillow when we were there in August 2011. Great addition!

I highly recommend this campground for a fun filled family trip.

We enjoyed ourselves until we needed the staff most. Our Tent and everything in it and everything in our screen-house and the screen-house itself was under 4 inches of water when we awoke at 6:30AM Sunday August 28th and the river just feet away from the tent was overflowing on to our site. My wife tried to talk to the staff but was consistently told "We are Busy and don't have time to talk" we couldn't believe the rudeness but we decided to try to get as mush of our stuff to safety as possible. Needless to say we lost almost everything from our Laptop computers, Ipads, Iphones, Kids Nintendo 3DS's, Portable DVD player, Tent, Screen-house, Stove, clothing etc... you get the point, but in no way did we fault the staff for anything but we were just asking for help. We didn't know what to do so we threw almost everything away since we couldn't bring all of the Soaked stuff into the Car so we started to pack up all of the unaffected stuff which wasn't much and load it into the car getting ready to leave a day early since our blankets were soaked with filthy water and they had no power to wash anything. Then as we are about to leave they finally come to us and say we could use one of the cabins for the night and we just laughed since we were already ready to leave Soaked from head to toe and exhausted. My kids were Sad and My wife and I were very disappointed with the staff even though we knew they weren't responsible for anything but they were downright rude except for 1 who came to me right before we were about to leave and was very nice but overall the Place was nice until the storm but the service the whole trip wasn't the greatest. We spent 9 Days there and it was very expensive for a campground but the kids had fun BUT I would NOT recommend this place until they replace the current staff with more people friendly staff and when we were in contact with the main "Jellystone company" we were told it was being looked into before our incident. Beware of this place because they don't handle people or problems well!

Great family vacation place. Super clean, activities for all ages, very nice "real" owners. We parked our rv alongside the river and it was quiet and serene. Love being in the woods not in what feels like a field of rv's. Lots to do for the kids. Love it, here right now and we dont really want to leave but we'll be back for sure!! PS Did I mention a hot air balloon took my family up for a ride right out of the campsite this evening!!! Awesome place .... plan a trip here its worth it.
