The "Faces of Israel" delegation embodies the pluralistic, multicultural and democratic character of the State of Israel. The delegation includes six Israelis representing a variety of religions, cultures and political views and brings Israelis from all modes of Israeli life to tell their personal stories, their history, and their relationship to Israel. The delegation is composed of the diversity of Israeli life: males and females, former soldiers, an Orthodox Jew, and a Bedouin. The panel represents a variety of professions (lawyer, journalist, etc), who will address current Israeli issues, including women's rights, Israeli-Palestinian relationships, and the effect of war on civilians. They have been chosen as delegates out of hundreds of nominees due to their remarkable personal stories and experiences of Israel to discuss the laughter and tears that they experience in such a tumultuous country and to answer questions personally and truthfully.
