A Skateboard Art Show to Benefit Saratoga's Skatepark & Local Skate Community

On Deck: Skateboard Art Show, taking place March 3, will be a skateboard art show extravaganza the likes of which Saratogians have never seen!

Curator Belinda Colón asked over 60 skateboarding artists to alter a provided plain wooden skateboard deck (without wheels or trucks) any way they want "as long as it gets through the door." - which is the only restriction - it will be insane!

There will be a live band (Rosary Beard), beverages, a raffle, silent auction, food, fun and incredible energy!

The fundraising continues throughout March. On March 10, a Yoga Benefit for the Skatepark will take place and on March 29, Charlie Samuels (who is often referred to as "the 50 year-old skateboarder"), will show a trailer and teasers "Virgin Blacktop" at the Gallery.

Future events at the skatepark this upcoming season include a skatejam (a non-competitive "bowl" event) with free givaways and food and beverages, free skateboard classes to groms and a pool contest with a visiting New York City pro skateboarder.
