'Pink In The Rink' Cancer Center Benefit
When: Event has passed. Watch this page for updates.
Where: Glens Falls Civic Center, Glens Falls, NY
The Adirondack Phantoms will take a shot at cancer with “Pink in the Rink” at the team’s January 25, game against arch-rival team the Albany Devils at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
The promotion, to benefit the C. R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital, will feature Phantoms players wearing pink jerseys and socks.
Cancer survivor and patient at the C.R. Wood Cancer Center Nancy Kindersley will perform the puck drop to kick off the game.
The players’ pink jerseys will be auctioned off at the end of the game. All proceeds will again benefit the C.R. Wood Cancer Center, a service of Glens Falls Hospital celebrating 20 years in 2013. The Phantoms will also recognize local cancer survivors at the conclusion of the festivities.
Presale tickets priced at $15.00 each will be available up until the end of day on Thursday by calling the Phantoms office at 480-3355, or the Glens Falls Hospital Foundation by 3:30 pm on Friday at 926-5969. The Phantoms will be donating $5.00 for every ticket sold at this special rate to the Cancer Center.
