Queensbury's 250th Anniversary

Plans are in the works to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the town of Queensbury! 

Town Historian Marilyn VanDyke outlined a tentative series of events that would include an observance at the old Quaker burial ground on May 20, followed by a larger "main event" later in the year at Queensbury Town Hall.

The Chapman Historical Museum in Glens Falls is planning an exhibit about Queensbury after World War II that will include an oral history component. Signs at the entrances to the town, a commemorative booklet and a town song are other ideas being considered.
