Living Well Blog: Saratoga's Holistic Health Forum

September 2008 Archives

There's a link between wellness and beauty. When you feel healthy, you glow; that glow translates into beauty. Beauty can take many forms. It can create confidence. Feeling good about ourselves, along with feeling good physically can make us feel beautiful. It's not necessarily about a fleeting image, it's a more deep sense of comfort with who we are and the choices we make.

I just read an article online about sexuality in marriage and how it is tied to our feelings about our bodies/our selves. In some sense, the two cannot be separated. We are a whole unit -- mind, body, spirit.

I will be thinking on this as I prepare to give a talk in November at the Reiki Meet Up sponsored by Hillary Raimo.

"I believe that the day spa should be an instant getaway; a place that is quiet without being stuffy, relaxed, elegant and yet entirely comfy. Here, you are never just the "next" number; we allow ample time for your services, offer a flexible schedule and can be reached after hours. After all, to me, spa craft is not really a business, it's a lifestyle." Read more...
