Offering Both Fun & Support For Saratoga Springs Youth & Families

"Play Ball!"
The excitement, skill, and history of baseball are front and center in Saratoga Springs thanks to The Saratoga Phillies! With their home field at Saratoga Springs East Side Recreation Park, this not-for-profit organization completes a 47-game season that offers families and local youth a unique and wonderful opportunity to get up close and personal with players and savor some old-fashioned fun.

Established in 2004, the Saratoga Phillies Baseball Organization recruits top level collegiate baseball players from some of the best colleges and universities across the country. This is indeed great baseball – in the last four years, nine former Saratoga Phillies have gone on to play on major league teams!

Even better, the Saratoga Phillies have become an important part of the Saratoga Springs community. Local host families open their homes and hearts to the players, and they reciprocate by serving as great role models for our kids, and investing in our community:

  • Admission to the games is free!
  • The Phillies assist in local community projects such as St. Clement’s Field Day, Caroline Street Fun Day and Rebuilding Together Saratoga.
  • Little League teams participate in opening ceremonies at every home game.
  • Over 500 kids from Saratoga aged 5-15 attend camps each summer supported by the Saratoga Phillies. Players work with kids on baseball skills and provide real-life role models both on and off the field.
  • Scholarships are available through The Saratoga Phillies Baseball Organization for any child who is unable to afford the camps.

Old fashioned fun abounds - Saratoga families and members of the community spend many a warm summer evening at the park, where kids love to catch fly balls and have them duly autographed by their favorite players.

Players spend the summer in Saratoga competing in the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL). As a member of the ten league National Collegiate Summer Baseball Alliance, the NYCBL is sanctioned by the NCAA and by Major League Baseball.
