The Saratoga Regional Local’s Choice Awards of 2009 named the Olde Saratoga Brewing Co., a small independent brewery located on Excelsior Ave in Saratoga, as one of the region’s “Hidden Gems”.

Since 1997, the brewery has been well-known for its tasting room, where visitors can sip and contemplate the flavors of many different species of ale, lager, and other malts brewed at Olde Saratoga. All brews are fresh, traditional, and locally brewd in the German style.

Olde Saratoga offers a few of its pride and joys to try: there is the Kingfisher Premium Lager for the USA (there are only four worldwide countries which brew this), which Olde Saratoga began brewing in 2001, and why not sample the Saratoga Lagar, a new Märzenbier brew and rumored to be a little sweet.

If after the tasting you are thirsting for more, take home a great big growler or keg of your favorites to share with all your friends, and let the secret out! Say hello to the four full-time local brewmasters (one of which is responsible for the new Saratoga Lager), all local and friendly employees.
