Three-Day Job Fair Planned For 2016 Saratoga Racing Season
Interested in a job at the Saratoga Race Track this summer? Each summer, there are various positions the Race Course needs to fill. The New York Racing Association (NYRA) holds a three-day job fair in June to interview candidates and fill open roles.
Qualifications: You must be at least 16 years old to apply, with NYS Certified Working Papers, photo ID, and social security card. Prospective security guards, cashiers, and betting clerks must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Betting clerks and cashiers must have significant cash handling experience. Security guards must have a high school degree or GED to apply.
Race Course Interview Schedule & Opportunities
Job fair interviews for the 2016 Racing Season will be held on:
- Thursday, June 16 (2 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
- Friday, June 17 (2 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
- Saturday, June 18 (11 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
Opportunities are available for: bartenders, betting clerks, cashiers, chefs, cleaners, cooks, food service helpers and supervisors, general labor, giveaway helpers (part-time only), hosts/hostesses, parking attendants, porters and barbacks, prep cooks, retail clerks, security, turf work, utility workers, waitstaff, and whitecaps/ushers.
NOTE: Interviews for employment at Shake Shack and El Verano Taqueria will be held on Thursday and Friday only.
What To Bring
Working papers and two types of identification, which may include:
- Driver’s License or State ID (must be at least 16 years old to apply)
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- Right-To-Work Visa

Where To Go
All job fairs will be held at the Saratoga Springs City Center - 522 Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Parking is available in the lot on Maple Avenue. You should be well dressed and prepared for an interview.
