Three-Day Job Fair Planned For 2017 Saratoga Racing Season
Interested in a job at the Saratoga Race Track this summer? Each summer, there are various positions the Race Course needs to fill. The New York Racing Association (NYRA) holds a three-day job fair in June to interview candidates and fill open roles.
Qualifications: You must be at least 15 years old to apply, with New York State Certified Working Papers, photo ID, and social security card or I-9 alternative. Prospective security guards, cashiers, and betting clerks must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Limited opportunities exist for 15-year-old applicants. Betting clerks and cashiers must have significant cash handling experience. Security guards must have a high school degree or GED to apply.
Race Course Interview Schedule & Opportunities
Job fair interviews for the 2017 Racing Season will be held on:
- Thursday, June 15 (2 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
- Friday, June 16 (2 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
- Saturday, June 17 (11 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
Opportunities are available for: administrative/office roles, bartenders, bets squad, betting clerks, box office, cashiers, chefs, cleaners, cooks, food service helpers and supervisors, general labor, giveaway helpers (part-time only), guest services, hosts/hostesses, mascots, parking attendants, porters and barbacks, prep cooks, program sellers, retail clerks, security, turf work, utility workers, waitstaff, and whitecaps/ushers.
What To Bring
Working papers and two types of identification, which may include:
- Driver’s License or State ID (must be at least 15 years old to apply)
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- Right-To-Work Visa

Where To Go
All job fairs will be held at the Saratoga Springs City Center - 522 Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Parking is available in the lot on Maple Avenue. You should be well dressed and prepared for an interview.
