Lets Talk About Fitness!

user-pic

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be able to share my experiences in the fitness world with you all. Sometimes the experiences are great, and sometimes, they are hilarious goofs! We are all a work in progress, myself included.

If you have had the chance to read my bio, you will get a good idea of my background. I am here to educate, motivate and most of all, to give you the courage to try something new. I also encourage your feedback. If there is something you would like me to blog about, please do not hesitate to email me.

Weekly, I will post my workout schedule, the local races going on in and around town, and other fitness and health related events and information.

Stay tuned!

Lose 20 pounds in a week by eating ice cream every day and without exercising! Does this sound too good to be true? Well, - it is! Just like millions of Americans who are struggling with being overweight or obese, about 10 years, ago I found myself overweight and unhappy. By taking baby steps, I was able to tweak my diet, add in exercise, and lose over 30 pounds! It wasn't easy and there was no "magic pill," but I have found fun ways of keeping the weight off over the years. I hope to share my experiences with you: the good, the bad, and the sometimes hilarious!

I have been a certified, Star II Spinning® instructor through Mad Dogg Athletics for almost 10 years and have taught thousands of classes all over the Capital Region. I am also certified in Les Mills Bodypump, Fittour Indoor Cycling, Group Fitness, CPR, and AED. I hold a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University in Hospitality and Food Service Management, as well as a minor in Nutrition. I am also the owner of the Saratoga Cycling Studio, LLC, and am the office manager at the Law Offices of Gerard Amedio, P.C. Needless to say, I am a busy girl, but together we can find ways to maximize our workouts with the little bit of time we can spare in our days.

I consider myself to be a very "real" fitness professional, meaning that, just like many of you, I have to work every day to stay fit. My intentions for each post will be to maybe encourage you to try something new, feel and look healthier, or to simply push your fitness to the next level.
