It looks like Saratoga Springs is going to be wet this summer! If you don’t like the feeling of wet socks, shoes, and hair, come on inside! There are so many great options in our city to stay active.
Most gyms or fitness studios are really busy when the weather is less than perfect this time of year. Try making a reservation at a place that lets you book in advance. My Spinning studio allows you to book up to a month in advance. There are also personal trainers (the Fitness Artist is great – look for my review next week), yoga studios and pilates studios that also take advanced reservations.
If you don’t want to spend any cash, or if you don’t want to leave home, try grabbing a jump rope to raise your heart rate. Do you have some stairs you could climb? If you aren’t a complete spaz like me, you could try going up the stairs, going up and down backwards, sideways – whatever gets it done!
