As we started another workweek today, once again we have a chance of showers in the forecast through about mid-week. An area of low pressure off the mid-Atlantic coast was responsible for the increase in cloud cover across the region this afternoon, and the forecast calls for a chance of showers increasing into the overnight hours.
Another wet Tuesday is in store for much of the region with increasingly humid conditions and the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of which could contain heavy downpours.
This unsettled weather pattern will linger into mid-week as a cold front slowly approaches from the Great Lakes region. This front will move south of the region late on Wednesday, allowing drier weather to return for the end of the workweek and much warmer temperatures building northward once again into the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend.
