June has started out rather cool and showery across the region, with measurable rain falling on just about every day so far. A few thunderstorms have also been thrown in there as well, but it certainly has not felt summer-like.
But a bit of a pattern shift will occur for the second half of our weekend as a ridge of high pressure attempts to build into the region and a warm front pushes northward. This will allow a warmer and more humid air mass to infiltrate on Sunday and into early next week with temperatures well into the 80’s.
