St. Clement’s School is ready for another exciting year of learning!

Early Childhood and Pre-K programs at St. Clement’s. Our Early Childhood Program (for 3 and 4 year olds) and Pre-Kindergarten Program are now located in the same wing of the school building. Since they have a time-frame different from the rest of the school, they will have their own entrance. This will afford them additional space and allow the continued growth of the program.

As you enter the building you will immediately feel the warmth and security you want for your child—from the nurturing, qualified teachers and staff members to the comfortable classroom setting. Our Early Childhood Program is activity based and child-centered. Curricular themes are changed monthly to maintain interest and introduce variety. Students engage in outdoor play on our playground on a daily basis when the weather is appropriate. The curriculum is designed to stimulate each child’s desire to learn, spark curiosity and excite the questioning nature of 3 and 4-year-old children. Planned daily activities facilitate excitement and enthusiasm.

Children learn by doing through experimental activity and play. Our early childhood program offers time and space for young children to be children while they are free to explore, play and imagine. Our Pre-K Program is a literature- and phonics-based program that emphasizes kindergarten readiness skills. Curriculum integration of mathematics, science, social studies and religion forms the core program. We are considering opening new sections of the program due to its popularity. Please call or stop by for a tour if you are still deciding on the best place for your children to grow and learn in a caring, nurturing environment.

Kindergarten through fifth grade. Our K-5 Program has been strengthened by the infusion of technology throughout the curriculum. In preparing our students for the world they will live in, we are continually seeking ways to enhance instruction. In addition to exceeding New York state Standards in Math, ELA, Science and Social Studies, our students are given an opportunity on a daily basis to experience new and exciting learning opportunities. In addition to core subjects, our students participate in “special subject areas” such as Technology, Art, Music, Spanish, Library and Physical Education. With a combination of in-school programs and field trips, our students learn to be a part of the wider community. They realize the importance of contributing to the world around them.

Parental participation is an essential part of our school. Parents actively participate in classroom activities as well as numerous activities throughout the building. A strong home-school connection enables us to provide the best experience for every child. An active Parent-Teacher Organization provides numerous cultural arts experiences for our children as well as sponsoring family participation events and social activities.

As a Catholic School, our children continue to learn about their faith on a daily basis and participate in many faith-filled experiences. Our day begins with a Morning Prayer Assembly. As a school, we attend Mass on a monthly basis. Individual classes attend Mass weekly. Students actively participate in each liturgical experience. Religion is not only taught as a subject; it is evident throughout the day.

Our responsibility to go out and help others is accomplished through participation in many community service activities. Some of these activities include: fifth grade partners with Saratoga Bridges, Adopt-a-Family Programs, weekly food drives, the Empty Stocking Project, visits to nearby nursing homes and participation in the Lenten Rice Bowl Project. In addition, individual classes take on their own community service projects.

St. Clement’s School is a dynamic learning environment where children are recognized for their individual talents, skills and abilities.

Each child is cherished and treasured as a unique individual. Please take the time to stop by and see us “in action.” We would love to meet you to explore the world of learning.
