Ernest W. Wren, Jr.

Saratoga Springs – Ernest W. Wren, Jr. died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 67.

Born January 3, 1941 in Saratoga Springs he was the son of the late Ernest Wren Sr. and Susie Mabb Wren. A lifelong area resident, he was of the Methodist faith. Ernest worked for Saratoga Vichy as a forklift operator for 36 years, retiring in 1999. He was quoted in the book “Ghosts of the Northeast”. He loved bowling, fishing, and most any sport including horse racing, football, basketball and his favorite baseball team, the Dodgers as well as his faithful dog, Taco. Ernest greatest passion was his family, especially his wife and two granddaughters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years; Wanda (Reynolds) Wren of Saratoga Springs, one daughter; Kathi Elmore and her husband Michael of Queensbury, one son; Thomas Kail of Burnt Hills, two granddaughters; Alycia Howe and Camryn Kail, a brother; Edward Wren of Clifton Park, a cousin; Robert Travis and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373).

A service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Chamberlin officiating.

Burial will follow in the family plot at Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave.
