Robert J. (Bob) Seaman

Saratoga Springs - Robert J. (Bob) Seaman, 67, formerly of Kirby Road, died Wednesday (Jan. 16, 2008) at Saratoga Hospital after a short illness.

Born on October 28, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Dean Seaman and Dorothy (Moylan) Torkildsen. In 1959, he joined the US Army and served as a paratrooper, an honor of which he was very proud.

Bob enjoyed playing his guitar, shooting pool with his friends and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Greenfield Center; his daughters, Sally Henson of Ballston Spa and Shirley Seaman of Greenfield Center; two sons-in-law, Chris Henson of Corinth and Travis Brooks of Greenfield Center; two sisters, Joan Grabowski of Bethlehem, PA and Marilyn Quist of Amsterdam; three brothers, John (Annie) Torkildsen and Richard (Patricia) Torkildsen, all of High Bridge, NJ and Tom (Gail) Torkildsen of Williamstown; eight grandchildren, Aleysha Geier, Faleysha Seaman, Brianna Henson, Anthony Seaman, C.J. Henson, Kaitlyn Brooks, Natelie Brooks and Nikole Brooks and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends called Monday (Jan. 21st) at the William J. Burke and Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373).

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the funeral home. Deacon Gary Picher will officiate.

Burial with military honors followed at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville.

Immediately following services, family and friends are again invited to the home of Shirley Seaman, 2025 Route 9N #62, Greenfield Center (518-893-1209).
