Glenville - Rose Mary DeLorenzo Vasko, 66, of Glenville, died peacefully Saturday, April 19, 2008, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Schenectady, Rose Mary was the daughter of the late Dominick “Red” and Margaret DeLorenzo and was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School.
She was employed as an Administrative Specialist at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory/Kesselring Site in West Milton, retiring after 30 years of service. Rose Mary was an active volunteer at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Schenectady, a member of the G.E. Women's Club and an avid golfer.
Rose Mary was predeceased by Paul W. Vasko, Sr. She was the beloved mother of Lauria and her husband Paul Rockwell of Ballston Spa and Kimberly and Richard Gagnon of Poughkeepsie and the late Paul W. Vasko, Jr; loving grandmother of Chelsea, Dominique, Paul Garrett, Connor and Sydney; beloved sister of Toni Ann and her husband Tom Kinsella of Middle Grove. She is also survived by many loving extended family and friends.
A calling period was held Tuesday, April 22 at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home after which a Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Schenectady. Burial followed in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rose Mary's name may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308 or the Tribute Program of St. Jude's Research Hospital
