Evalyn was a member of Hadassah, Sisterhood, and Congregation Shaara Tfille.
She was an avid bridge and Mahjong player, loved to read a good book and was a great cook.
She loved spending time with her family and her very special friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Sonia and Harry Britt of Florida.
She leaves behind two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Bob Edwards and Joanne and Jim Dwornik, all of Saratoga Springs; four grandchildren and their spouses, David and Robin Edwards of Brooklyn, Sara and Adam Hills of Gansevoort, Jeff and Leah Dwornik of Wilton, and Carrie and Jason Ellis of Hoboken, N.J.; two great-grandchildren, Ellie and Carter Hills; and a brother, Richard, and his wife, Helene Britt, of Boca Raton, Fla.; and most importantly, her loving caregivers of six years, Malvina Noriega (Pinky) and Rose Travis.
Both Joanne and Susan would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Desmond Del Giacco and the wonderful staff of the Community Hospice of Saratoga, especially Arlene, Donna, Alice, Liz and Karen.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at Congregation Shaara Tfille, 84 Weibel Ave., Saratoga Springs. Rabbi David Senter officiated.
Burial followed at the Jewish Community Center Cemetery.
The family sat Shiva at the home of Susan Edwards, 36 Piping Rock Circle, Saratoga Springs, following services and burial.
