Rita Sipperly

 
She was 83.

Born on June 30, 1925 in Mechanicville, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Mary T. "Mamie" Weaver Sipperly. Rita was a lifelong resident of Mechanicville and a 1944 graduate of Mechanicville High School. She attended Mildred Elley School in Albany and worked for 40 years as a secretary for General Electric Co. in Schenectady and Waterford.

Survivors include her sister Mary D. "Sissy" Sipperly of Mechanicville.

There were no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at Assumption-St. Paul Church, Main St., Mechanicville. Burial followed in the family plot at St. Paul's Cemetery in Mechanicville.
