The show will offer local residents the opportunity to view dozens of the newest models and designs in recreational vehicles by the industrie's top manufacturers. The weekend-long show will include motor homes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, pop-ups and park model vacation homes.
"It is a great way to kick off the summer camping season," Andy Heck, co-owner of Alpin Haus, said. "Consumers will see for the first time the latest in RVs, including a variety of great promotions and sales."
Heck said new to this year's show will be the latest addition to recreational vehicles when they introduce the Avanti model by Damon. The diesel motor home was designed with the high gas prices in mind and gets more than 14 miles per gallon.
In addition to the Avanti, visitors will also be able to view another new addition to Alpin Haus' RV lineup when they unveil the new Coyote by KZ Hybrid trailer. The vehicle features spacious tent extensions to save floor space and can also be towed by sport utility vehicles and light duty trucks. The company will also have Springdale, Summerland and Sprinter travel trailers and Copper Canyon fifth wheels by Keystone on display at this year's show.
In total, Alpin Haus will have close to 40 RVs on display at the weekend long showcase.
With the current economic woes plaguing business across the nation, Heck said last year the company had one of its best years ever at the show and they expect this year to be equally as good because of the appeal the camping trailer business has toward families.
"Like any other business we are facing challenges with the current state of the economy, but the camping trailer business that is geared toward families has been pretty good. It is such a nice vacation alternative for the cost and the fact that they can go close to their own home versus taking a vacation where you have to pay for plane tickets and a hotel room," Heck said.
He added that visitors will have many different options in terms of camping gear to choose from along with some very reasonable prices.
In addition to the recreational vehicles, there will also be a camp ground on display and Camping World will be on hand to display camping and RV supplies. Factory trained sales consultants and representatives will also be at the showcase to answer questions and offer insight about the 2009 vehicles and models.
Alpine Haus is entering into its fourth decade of service in the Capital Region. It currently has four store locations in Amsterdam, Wilton and Clifton Park, featuring a full-line of luxury RVs, snowmobiles, skis, boats, pools, spas and ATV's. They are the Northeast's largest independently owned RV retailer. In 2008, they were the recipient of the RV business Top 50 Dealer Award, not to mention they have won numerous other accolades in the field over the past five years.
The show takes place at the Saratoga City Center Friday, Jan. 9 from 5 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 10 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the expo is free.
