Saratoga Springs - Cecil Bentley Hilleboe of Caroline St. passed away quietly at her daughter's home on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009. She was 101.
Born on Dec. 19, 1907 in Pulaski, NY, she was the daughter of the late
James and Maude (Maxwell) Bentley. Cecil was the oldest of seven
children, growing up with six brothers, and attended schools in the
Pulaski and Syracuse area. She moved to Saratoga Springs in the 1950's
and was employed by Frank Orisek Plumbing & Heating in Saratoga for
many years. Cecil was a Home Bureau and Red Cross Volunteer and loved
horseback riding and playing golf. She was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul Hilleboe who died May 12, 1960 and four brothers, Leon, Howard, James and Leonard.
Survivors include her children, David T. (Linda) Hilleboe of Gansevoort and Susan (Michael) Ross of Porter Corners; her grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Haynes, Colleen Ross and Shawn Hilleboe; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Robert of Arizona, and
several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service to remember Cecil will take place at 3 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway in Saratoga Springs.
Spring burial will be in Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave. in Saratoga Springs.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to a charity of your choice.
