Saratoga Springs - Marlene A. Reardon died following a courageous
battle with ALS on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Willows Health Care
Center in Worcester, MA. She was 75.
Born on June 3, 1934 in Waterbury, CT, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Rose (Fogerite) Grant and widow of the late John E. Reardon. Mrs. Reardon was employed as a secretary at the Saratoga Springs School District. She enjoyed spending time with family and the company of her grandchildren. Survivors include; one son, Edward Reardon of Queensbury, NY, two daughters, Jana and her husband Pete Bennison of Glenville, NY and Suzanne and Dr. John Stagias of Sturbridge, MA., two sisters, Patricia Martinovich of Latham, NY and Carol Collins of Saratoga Springs. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Samantha, Casandra and Nicholas Stagias, John and Kimberly Bennison, Connor and Brendan Reardon as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Francis J. Gargani C.Ss.R. on Monday, June 15, 2009 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs. Burial was in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery located on West Avenue in Saratoga Springs.
Memorials may be made in Marlene's honor to the ALS Association, 19 Warehouse Row, Albany, NY 12205 or to the UMASS Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA. 01605. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs.
