After spending the past two years above Cantina Restaurant on Broadway,
Select Sotheby's International Realty has relocated up the road to the
new Park Place condominiums.
The firm moved in early August and is now up and running.
"So far, so good," said John Burke, broker/owner of Sotheby's. "We all know how much fun moving is but we are settled in and business is good."
Burke added that while the spot above Cantina was a good location and they very much liked being in the center of town, they needed to move for their clients.
"We felt we needed an office that was conducive to traffic and visibility. Parking was tough in our old location so it's a lot better for our customers. We are also in a highly visable location right next to Congress Park," he said. "It's a great spot. We are now in the newest, most elaborate building in Saratoga and we like to have our name associated with Park Place.
Park Place was built by Bonacio Construction, Inc. and the six-story building sits adjacent to Congress Park.
Following the search for their new property, Sotheby's established Saratoga Springs as their main headquarters and place for the Saratoga Gallery.
"We plan to make use of the new space and our association with the Sotheby's Auction House to present the area with a new real estate experience. The Gallery and conference area provide the perfect platform to display our distinctive listings and a few select works of art," said Bill Parker, owner/broker.
Also displayed in the Gallery is Paleo, Sotheby's "Horse, Saratoga Style." For six months Paleo was spending time in New York City outside the library. Previously he sat on the corner of Caroline Street and Broadway.
"Paleo is in a lighted window so everyone who passes by can see him," Burke said. "He is safe in here, as other horses have been damages and he did get a little weathered in the New York City climate, so we're glad to have him inside."
Select Sotheby's International Reality is located at 270 Broadway, Saratoga Springs and provides clients with unique and distinctive properties throughout the Capital Region, the Catskills, the Adirondacks, the Thousand Islands and the Finger Lakes Regions in New York.
