Saratoga Springs - Edwin G. Mallory, Jr., 68, a resident of Route 29, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Saratoga Hospital.


Born May 15, 1941 in Braden, VT, he was the son of Edwin Mallory Sr. and Ellen Richmond Mallory.

Ed was a retired corrections officer for Saratoga County and had operated Ed's Small Engine Business on Route 29 in Saratoga Springs.

His enjoyments included restoring old cars, attending car shows, fishing, NASCAR, and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Steven Mallory.

Survivors include his wife Mildred Allen Mallory of Saratoga Springs; his children, Edwin G. "Chip" Mallory III (Sue) of Greenwich, Sherry A. Langley of Saratoga Springs, Jay L. Miller (Jacques LeGere) of Rotterdam, Donald W. Mallory (Bunny Breault) of Fort Ann; brother, James F. Mallory (Marie) of Saratoga Springs; sister, Nancy E. Mallory of Waterford; 8 grandchildren, Tiffany Boyd, Christopher, Barry, and Mandi Mallory, Britt Miller, Kyle Mallory, Raven and Dante Langley; 4 great-grandchildren, Devynn Hough, Aiden and Kaleb Strassburg, and Sydney Mallory and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Avenue in Schuylerville.
