What better way to celebrate a five year anniversary than moving into a
bigger market? For Diane Palumbo and Erika Gallagher, co-owners of Plum
and Crimson Fine Interior Design, this is just the path they took.
After five years of business in Clifton Park, the owners decided to take the next step in their plan for their business by moving to 5 Spring St., Saratoga Springs.
"This was always something we planned to do. It's a more central location for not only the builders we work with but also our private customers. We serve people all over the Capital Region all the way up through Lake George," Palumbo said.
Plum and Crimson Fine Interior Design is a full service interior design company that has capabilities to design the interior of a home from the first stages of building to the finishing touch. They can also simply design a valance for a kitchen window.
"We specialize in taking a home and designing it from beginning to end, but we don't turn down small projects either," Palumbo said. "We can design a whole house, one room or one couch."
Before their move to Saratoga Springs, Plum and Crimson Fine Interior Design was purely a destination store, meaning their services had to be requested on-site. With the new location they can incorporate foot traffic into their routines.
"It's just a more convenient location," Palumbo said.
Palumbo had a degree in interior design and Gallagher has her degree in fine arts. They have professional affiliations with the American Society of Interior Designers and the Interior Design Society. Since moving to Saratoga, Plum and Crimson Fine Interior Design has joined the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce and has been a member of the Capital Region Builders and Remodelers Association. In the CRBRA Parade of Homes 2009, Plum and Crimson Interior Design in conjunction with Del Zatto Builders won runner up in the category of Best Interior Decorating for houses under $650,000. They have also won numerous awards since 2004 throughout the Capital District for their work.
Along with Palumbo and Gallagher, Kelly Daly serves as an interior designer with the company and Nancy Denooyer is a customer service representative. Combined, these women have more than 30 years of professional experience in interior design.
