Drew's a senior member of the knowledgeable staff that has made The Grey Gelding a happening for nearly 4 years. He greets everyone promptly, and has a good-natured, enthusiastic persona for all comers, whether it's your first time there, or first time in awhile.
It is once he gets to know you that the fun happens. That's when you get an insight into one of the quickest wits on Broadway. For most people the process takes about a minute, or 3.2 sips of a hot and dirty martini, which he serves up often with great verve and panache'.
One patron, Paula, last Saturday night described him as "like a member of the family." She didn't elaborate whether she was talking about the Partridge or Manson family, so I guess we'll have to explore further: "Hey, Drew! Another over here, please."
