Saratoga Springs - Dell Norman Thompson of County Route 68, passed away
on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at his residence. He was 68.
Born on December 11, 1940 in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Frederic C. and Elizabeth Helen (Hardendorf) Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Audrey (Linder) Thompson.
Dell was a graduate of SUNY Cortland, C. W. Post College and SUNY Albany, where he completed his Ed. D. in 1970. He had a 34 year career in not-for-profit development and fundraising in the Albany area.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at St. Mary of the Angels Chapel at Siena College in Loudonville with a gathering to follow.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider memorials in Dell's honor to the Dell N. Thompson Scholarship Fund at Siena College, Loudonville or to the Friends of the Saratoga Battlefield, 16 Burgoyne St., Schuylerville, New York 12871.
