Greenwich - Emma Sisson Mulligan, 83, a longtime resident of Greenwich,
died Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa.
Born June 25, 1926 in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Henry S. and Jessie C. Derby.
Emma was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenwich and was a devoted member of the church vestry and had served as treasurer for over 35 years. She loved to play cards with anyone willing to take her on. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles and her NY Mets.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George Reid Mulligan who died December 31, 1999; and siblings, Kenneth S., Paul E., Theodore S. Sr., Merritt C., and Harold W. Derby.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Alan R. Mulligan of Hudson Falls; John P. Mulligan and wife Angela of Middle Grove; grandson, Zachary J. Mulligan; brother, Gordon W. Derby and sister, Helen C. Purinton; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenwich with Rev. Allen Peyton officiating.
Burial was at the Gerald B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
There were no calling hours.
