This Sunday at Gaffney's
A representative cross-section of the talented music colony in this town will demonstrate their full hearts and depth of caring as they donate their time for another excellent cause at Gaffney's (16 Caroline Street, (518) 587-7359) this Sunday at 2 p.m. as part of a musical fundraiser dubbed "Saratoga Helping Haiti."
A $5 donation is suggested at the door, and all, meaning 100 percent of the monies collected from this as well as the silent auction and 50/50 raffle will be donated to Doctors without Borders and the Haiti Children's Center charity.
Local musicians scheduled to perform as of press time include Jeff Brisbin, Mikki Bakken, Garland Nelson, Rick Bolton and the Dwyer Sisters, Tim Wechgelaer, The Fighting 86's and The Tequila Mockingbirds. The response from musicians and the community at large was characterized by Gaffney's General Manager Kim Smith as "always amazing, but never surprising."
