At the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, March 2, Saratoga County
Supervisor Joanne Yepsen announced the expansion of PRO-ACT, the
popular prescription discount program that is available to every
resident of Saratoga County at no cost.
The expanded PRO-ACT program now includes discounts on vision products (eye exams, frames and contact lenses), LASIK products and hearing products and services.
The original PRO-ACT discount program included discounts on prescriptions for all residents and their pets. According to statistics provided by PRO-ACT, over 8,500 claims were made by Saratoga County Residents in the first six months of the program on prescriptions, with an average price savings of 41 percent over regular retail cost (see side box).
Interested residents may download and print their card online at www.proactrx.com or call (877) 776-2285. If you currently have a PRO-ACT card, you need to obtain a new one to receive the expanded benefits.
"We are very pleased to provide and expand a popular program like PRO-ACT to all Saratoga County residents during these times." Supervisor Yepsen said.
