1. On Monday, December 19th, bring the whole family to Clifton Park/Halfmoon Public Library at 5:30pm and enjoy the Seasonal Sing-Along for Kids Program. Local performer and educator Diane Payette will lead this program filled with singing old favorites by the yule log sipping cider. No registration is required, and siblings are welcome.
2. Enjoy A Holly Trolley Night Tour on Tuesday, December 20th from 5:30 – 8:30pm. Your tour will consist of: Ten Broeck Mansion Trees and Holiday Tour of Hannaford Lights in Washington Park with a stop at the Lake House, Downtown Albany Decorations, and Holiday FUN for everyone. Light refreshments will be served at Broeck Mansion. The trolley departs from and returns to Ten Broeck Mansion, 9 Ten Broeck Place, Albany, NY 12210 (parking in the rear of the Mansion – off Livingston Avenue). 3. The Children’s Museum at Saratoga has a special treat for the little chefs in your life. Cooking Around the World:Mexico is a new program taking place at the museum between 3:30 – 4:30pm. Kids will send their taste buds on an international adventure by cooking up kid friendly recipes from around the world. Past culinary explorations include banana empanadas from Brazil, Algerian fruit salad and sweet crepes from France. Call 584-5540 for more information.
4. On Thursday, December 22, enjoy Dreidels and Donuts Family Chanukah Celebration at the Clifton Park Center Mall at 5:30pm. Clifton Park Chabad will be hosting it’s 6th annual Chanukah Family Celebration with Chanukah crafts, live music and dreidel games. They also construct and light a “Can Menorah”. 5. Enjoy a family friendly walk around the wetlands of Moreau Lake State Park, with one of the park’s Naturalists pointing out birds, wildlife and plants. The walk is scheduled for Thursday, December 22 from 1 – 3pm. Call 793-0511 to register.
