This week for kid friendly fun there are a bunch of great programs at the Saratoga Springs Public Library, Seth and the Moody Melix, Oz with Orchestra at SPAC and more!
1. It’s Family Game Day at the Saratoga Springs Public Library on Wednesday, August 7th from 11:30-1pm. Join them for indoor games in the H. Dutcher Community room. They will have board games, floor games and electronic group games. Kids-bring your grown-ups and show them how it’s done! Registration is not necessary. For children in grades K-5. 2. Check out Seth and the Moody Melix: Performing Arts at the Common on Wednesday, August 8th at 7pm. Admission is free for this family show at Clifton Park Commons. Join the newest local children’s band for a fun and exciting multicultral musical experience designed not only to entertain, but to educate children.This is the perfect performance for kids, and is FREE and open to the public! 3. TEENS – What better way to see the night sky during the day than a trip to the planetarium? Check out the TEEN Star Lab Traveling Planetarium on Thursday, August 9th from 7-8pm at the Saratoga Springs Public Library. Chris Grubb, Program Director of Planetarium Adventures brings the night sky to us with his traveling Star Lab. View stars, planets, and constellations while hearing the stories and myths behind these marvels that make up our world. Space is limited. For More Information Call: 518-584-7860.
4. Check out the Philadelphia Orchestra for FREE at the Saratoga Springs Public Library on Thursday, August 9th at 1:30pm when they play a special Pop-Up Concert!
5. Saturday, August 11th head to SPAC for “Oz with Orchestra”. This unique multi-media performance combines the full-length movie screening of the Wizard of Oz on SPAC’s oversized cinema screens, accompanied by The Orchestra playing the live music score from the movie, such a fantastic way to experience this classic family film!
