Lots of live music and chances to give back to some great local organizations, plus a fun way to help me celebrate the Holiday Issue, the Santaland Diaries and more!
1. Check out David Sedaris’ THE SANTALAND DIARIES Directed by Adam Fitzgerald at Home Made Theater! Jonathan Whitton (Backstage Bistro & MAC Award Winner) returns to HMT in the outlandish – and true – chronicle of David Sedaris’ experience as a worker in Macy’s Santaland. A blisteringly funny glimpse at the crass commercialization of Christmas during the height of the holiday crunch, Sedaris’ cult-classic has become a “pseudo-bi-annual” HMT tradition. For adults who like their humor with a wallop of wicked. (This production contains Adult Language). Performances on Dec. 13 & 16 – 7:00 P.M. Dec. 15 – 8:00 P.M. General Admission $18. For more information, contact HMT at 587-4427
2. This Thursday head over to Irish Times where guest bartenders Sonny and Julie Bonacio and Gary DiCresce will be serving up drinks from 6-10pm! 20% of food and drink tabs and all tips go to Saratoga Sponsor-A-Scholar!
3. On Friday night from 6-8 come help me celebrate the Holiday Issue of Mamatoga Magazine at Comfort Kitchen! Pick up your copy of the Holiday Issue, have some tots and a holiday drink!
4. Check out ”Jingle Shelves” Presented By Saratoga Guitar and 100.3 The Point on Friday from 6:30-10pm at Saratoga City Music Hall, 474 Broadway above City Hall. A non-perishable food item or new, unwrapped gifts and stocking stuffers for teens gets you in! The musicians are donating their time for this event because they wanted to do something for the community that would get their peers involved in giving back. Instead of charging admission to the show, concert-goers can bring a non-perishable food item for Franklin Community Center’s busy pantry to get them in the door. Plus, one lucky audience member will win a guitar courtesy of Saratoga Guitar.
5. On Sunday, December 16th at 5pm enjoy the Halos n’ Holly Dinner Theater at Prime at Saratoga National. See a performance by Enchante Cabaret while enjoying a 3 course dinner. The $66 admission fee includes the performance, 3 course prix-fixe menu, house wine service, soda and gratuity. Reservations are required for all guests, call (518) 583-4653 to make yours today.
