There are some fun events planned for parents seeking some adult-only time. Mamatoga has chosen the Top Five FABulous events for a perfect night (or afternoon) out. 1. If your significant other needs help with presents, direct him to Scoville Jewelers on 167 Glen Street in Glens Falls. On Tuesday, December 20, between 4:00 and 7:00 pm, they will be hosting a Men's Panic Pizza Party with gourmet pizza, jumbo shrimp and Davidson Brothers Beer. Get some last minute gift guidance and enjoy free gift wrapping while enjoying free food and beer. For more information or call 518 793-0151.

2. On Friday, December 23, between 6 and 9PM, enjoy the sweet sounds of Maggie Doherty and Zac Rossi at The Saratoga Winery and Tasting Room, located at 462 Route 29West. Sip wine and finish up your last minute Christmas shopping in their new gift shop. There is no cover charge for this fun event.

3. Another great event taking place on Friday, December 23 is the 4th Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Pub Crawl from 5 to midnight. Meet at Saratoga City Tavern, with your ugliest Christmas sweater and enjoy some good old-fashioned shenanigans. The cost is $20 for a ton of laughs - Laugh at yourself! Laugh at your friends! Laugh at strangers! Everyone is in a great mood for this fun night.

4. On Saturday, December 24 join the Christmas Eve Road March at 9am at the Glens Falls Civic Center. This event starts with a small ceremony at Heritage Hall followed by a 3.2 mile walk. Show your support to those servicemen and women who cannot be home for the holidays. This is a free event.

5, For those of you who do all the cooking on Christmas, take a break on Christmas Eve and enjoy a Prix Fixe dinner at The Black Watch Steakhouse at 21 Ridge Street in Glens Falls from 4-8pm. For $40 per person, celebrate Christmas Eve by enjoying a four-course prix fixe menu!

It takes a lot of work raising children, and we all know as parents how important it is to take some time for yourself to recharge, relax, and have fun without the kids! Whether you want some time on your own, a romantic evening with that special someone, or a fun-filled night with the girls to let your hair down Saratoga has a ton of great events to offer!  We have selected five awesome events happening this week that we feel are worthy for all of you FABulous parents and caregivers out there! 

 

1. This week is Restaurant Week in Saratoga and there are plenty of places that are participating in this year's festivities.  There are lunch specials for $9.09 and three course dinner specials for $18.19.  This is a perfect time to make reservations for that restaurant you've been dying to try with your hubby or girlfriends.  Click here  to find a list of restaurants and view their menu selection.

 

2. The Saratoga Casino and Raceway is hosting the 7th Annual Make a Difference Charity Event on Tuesday evening at 5:30pm.  Over 30 charities will benefit from over $125,000, and the event will be co-hosted by WNYT's Mark Mulholland, who is also representing Kelly's Angels.  Besides helping many local charities, you get to dress up in your fanciest clothes, dance and try your hand at some of the various gambling machines. 

 

3.  On Thursday, December 8th at 8pm,Vapor Night Club at Saratoga Casino and Raceway is hosting Therapy Thursday: Fashion and Video DJ Showcase.  Bring your friends and enjoy a night of shopping, dancing, fashion and cocktails.  What better way to view local business merchandise, buy gifts for the holidays and have fun at the same time.  The fashion show will include clothing and jewelry from Fiat Feminae, Fashionable Chic Boutique, Piper, Lucia, Miss Scarlett's Boutique, Rockabella Boutique and Yellow Boutique.  Hair by Phillipe Bevan and make-up by Gina Camaj Salon.  Admission is free and the first 50 people through the door will receive a free swag bag!

 

4.  On Saturday, December 10th, The Saratoga Winery & Tasting Room, located at 462 Route 29 West, is hosting the Holiday Roast: A Evening of Wine & Food Pairing.  There are three different "roast" meals paired with the perfect wine.  Enjoy New York Strip Roast, Roasted Herb Chicken and Center Cut French Pork Loin with accompanying side dishes.  You can drink and dine for $30 per person and leave fully satiated.  Visit thesaratogawinery.com or call 584-WINE for information and reservations.

 

5. For all of you music enthusiasts, the Arthur Zankel Music Center at Skidmore College is featuring the Saratoga Chamber Players on Sunday, December 11 at 2pm.  The Saratoga Chamber Players presents concerts under the direction of Jill Levy, Artistic Director. Their repertoire includes traditional and contemporary pieces offered by professional musicians from the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.  A wonderful afternoon of beautiful music cannot be beat!  Contact the Music Center at 584-1427 for more information.
