You’ve heard of the the new viral video craze known as Lip Dubbing right? Then you probably knew that there was a Lip Dub in the making in Saratoga Springs earlier this month. The video is finished, and it premiered last night at SPAC!
A Lip Dub is a music video in which thousands of people lip sync to a song, then the original song is dubbed over all audio. The result is a music video that features local participants, organizations and scenery, with studio quality audio.
Saratoga Springs is the only community in New York State (so far) to pull hundreds of local organizations and thousands of residents, visitors, and fans together to produce a Lip Dub video. The Saratoga Springs Lip Dub plays to a medley by the band Train. Scott Underwood, Train’s drummer (though he does not appear in the Lip Dub), is a Saratoga native.

Did you participate in the making of the Saratoga Lip Dub? What do you think? It would be very cool to see other Lip Dubs start popping up around the country, to catch everybody else’s take on the new craze.
