The staff of Livability has compiled a resource of more than 500 of America's best places to live, work, play, explore and belong--and your very own Saratoga Springs had made the cut!
Out of 10 cities, Saratoga Springs was #6 on the list. The destinations were handpicked based on how well the cities adapt to wintery weather, embrace the cold, livability factors, affordable housing and unemployment rates below the national average. I think it's safe to say that our little city of Saratoga Springs has some big personality and plenty of cold weather activities and things to do that will keep you from going into hibernation mode!

Our wonderful Saratoga Springs was chosen as one of the Top 10 Winter Cities because our abundant mineral springs is a hot spot for those seeking to relax and rejuvenate. We had a 13% increase in job growth in the amusement and recreation industry between 2005 and 2010, keeping the city's economy stable during the recession. According to Livability.com, Saratoga Springs made CNN-Money Magazine's top "100 Best Places to Live" list, for the city's low crime rate, walkable downtown, solid school system and cultural amenities.
Livability.com cites Saratoga's booming downtown. There are dozens of places to indulge in Saratoga. The city is packed with trendy boutiques, salons, specialty shops and gourmet restaurants.
