Saratoga Beer Week 2012 is February 23 - 25 at the City Center, and throughout downtown Saratoga Springs. We'll be celebrating three days of more than 25 events, beer dinners, The Grand Food and Rare Beer Tasting, and the annual Saratoga Beer Summit.

If you love beer, you won't want to miss this event! Craft beers that are produced locally, around the country, and all over the world will be featured at the event!
Unfamiliar with craft beer? The term craft beer refers to beer created by a craft brewer. A craft brewer should be small, independent, and traditional. By small, I mean they don't produce millions and millions of barrels of beer per year. Local breweries often produce less than a thousand barrels per year. Independent means that no more than 25% of the brewery can be owned by a major brewery like Miller or Coors. Traditional means that adjuncts (corn & rice) are used to enhance the flavor of the beer, not lighten it.

If this sounds like the beer you like to drink, Saratoga Beer Week should definitely be a part of your weekend in late February.

New lineups of beers will be on tap at area pubs, restaurants and taverns. Tickets can be purchased for specific events, or a Passport can be purchased for ALL events. The Passport gets you discounts at local stores, bars, and restaurants, as well as a guaranteed spot at the Grand Food and Rare Beer Tasting on Friday night. Unlimited beer and food samples will be given to Passport holders at this event.

Not only will there be plenty of beers to sample and great food to eat, but the village will be full of beer enthusiasts! If you love to drink beer, brew beer, or talk about beer, come to Saratoga Springs and hang out with the experts!
