Garth Ellms of Saratoga Festivals and Ellms Family Farm has been selected to be one of The Business Review's 2012 "Forty under 40" honorees. The Business Review announced their selection of candidates in their February 24th issue.
"40 Under Forty" is a annual project from The Business Review that recognizes forty young professionals under the age of 40 who are making a difference in their businesses and communities.
The announcement came at a great time, as last week marked Ellm's latest venture: the first annual Saratoga Beer Week. Beer Week was a three day festival full of beer based education, activities and fun happening right in downtown Saratoga Springs.
Saratoga Beer Week has had a positive impact on the community with bringing thousands of people to town and selling over 300 local hotel rooms.
"I'm truly honored to be selected for this process and humbled by the recognition. I look forward to bringing more great events like Saratoga Beer Week and Brew Fest to the Saratoga area." Said Ellms.
Founded in 2009 by lifelong friends A.J. Bodden and Garth Ellms, Saratoga Festivals has quickly established itself as the premier large scale event management company in the Capital Region. Saratoga Festivals is the owner and operator of Saratoga Brewfest, Oktobeerfest NY, Saratoga Beer Week, and the most recent addition to the roster; Parrothead Festival.
Join me in wishing Garth Ellms congratulations on this honor and his Saratoga Beer Week Success. And a big congrats goes out to all of this year's 40 Under Forty honorees!
