Memorial Day weekend has come and gone, and that means that the Saratoga summer season is started! This summer, Saratoga.com is presenting something new for 2012...
Summer in Saratoga probably makes you think of the Race Course, the NYC Ballet at SPAC, and beautiful days spent enjoying the shops and restaurants downtown. While none of these things are to be missed, this year Saratoga.com is presenting the first ever Parrot Head Festival!
That's right! The weekend of June 22 and 23, Milton and Ballston Spa will be turned into Margaritavillage. Local businesses will feature deck parties, karaoke competitions, and dinner and drink specials.
The festival itself will take place June 23, and you can expect everything from grass skirts to Jimmy Buffett tribute bands as the Saratoga County Fairgrounds will be transformed into paradise for all fun-loving, Jimmy-Buffett fans in the Saratoga area.
Kids can come to this event too! It's never too early for kids to start cultivating an appreciation for fun in the sun, and so the Parrot Head Festival will also feature a kid's zone with special activities for children of all ages. There will be an inflatable slide, lots of themed games, and of course, a buccaneer pirate ship!
The first annual Parrot Head Festival is a joint production between Saratoga.com and Saratoga Festivals, the planners who bring you other great area events such as Saratoga Brewfest and Oktobeerfest.
Sounds like a blast, right? So throw on a lei, get ready for the freshly made margaritas, and plan for a weekend of fun! Full details about the Parrot Head Festival here!
