If you are currently in the military or a veteran and plan on taking a train ride this Memorial Day weekend, then you won't have to worry about paying. The Saratoga & North Creek Railway is offering free train rides to all veterans and active military.
The train runs from Saratoga to North Creek and back with seven stops along the route. Throughout the ride you will see picturesque views of the Adirondacks. The route explores the First Wilderness Corridor while having the chance to be on board the Capital Region's only scenic train.
There will also be a tribute to the military concert on May 28th, at 1 p.m. that will take place at Riverfront Park in North Creek.
All free tickets are for coach seating and advance reservations are suggested.
