Looking to kick the summer off in an artsy way? Look no further than the SaratogaArtsFest from June 7 to 10!

This annual four-day festival celebrates the arts by featuring artists of all kind - dancers, filmographers, authors, musicians, and actors and actresses.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can stroll through the streets of Saratoga Springs, listening to and seeing different local and national artists perform.
The festival, in its sixth year, will have some new features this time around!

More Film Screenings -
"In collaboration with the Saratoga Film Forum, Saratoga Arts, and Skidmore College's Tang Museum," screenings will include films ranging on topics from skateboarding to artwork made by "pickers" at a garbage dump to the birthplace of blues just to name a few.

Along with an abundance of screenings, actor, writer and film director Marcus Dean Fuller will speak on his experiences in the field.

Kids Do Art -
Do your kids want to be little artists of their own? The festival will offer a three-hour open house where they can draw, make jewelry, create clay sculptures and many more crafts. This special-priced event is perfect for kids toddler age to ninth grade.

Art Comes Home -
Many of the artists showcased in this year's festival will be local artists who have mixed their Saratoga roots into their work.

Ashley Bathgate, a 2000 Saratoga Springs High School graduate and cellist, with the help of the school's chamber orchestra will perform Two Sense - a combination of rock 'n roll and contemporary music.

Saratoga Dances will feature New York City Ballet choreographers and dancers in The Enormous Room, drawing on inspiration from "the Spa City's landscape, hospitality tradition, and horseracing."

To See Ourselves -
Moderated by Yaddo President Elaina Richardson, this conversation will touch on how "art reflects, refracts, and challenges our concept of humanity through the presentation of diverse characters."

Other artists at the talk will include A.M. Holmes, Justin Peck, Marcus Dean Fuller and Lucy Walker.

With all these new and interesting features, the SaratogaArtsFest has something for everyone of all ages! So come check it out from June 7 to 10 to spark the artist in you!
