With Labor Day next Monday, we are down to the final week of racing at Saratoga Race Track! As is Spa City custom, the summer meet will go out with a bang, offering events and entertainment galore for one last "hurrah" before the sun sets on the final day of racing on Monday.
From sunset racing to music to family fun, take a look below at what's in store for the last weekend of racing at Saratoga....
There is a new event in town! Coming up on September 9th, this new event allows you to tour several exquisite water gardens in and around Saratoga. It's appropriately named the Saratoga Water Garden Tour, and it will be an annual event organized by Chip's Landscaping. But it's more than just touring water gardens...
Melissa O'Brien and Kris-jon Klopstock are not your average couple that enjoys taking photos every once in awhile. This couple has traveled all over the world taking some very beautiful shots, while enjoying their traveling experiences together. Melissa's work has been recognized by National Geographic and her new work will be shown here in Saratoga. Their new exhibit is showcased at the Four Seasons Natural Foods on 33 Phila St. in Saratoga through late October. I was able to ask them some questions while they were preparing for their exhibit.
The President of Bonacio Construcion, Sonny Bonacio, announced three new businesses that will occupy the first floor of The Springs starting this fall. The list includes a daycare, barber shop and a dry cleaning business.
Okay so maybe watching the horses' morning workouts at the track isn't the newest idea, but sometimes olden is golden! If you haven't been to Breakfast at the Track yet this season, these pictures will make you want to rediscover this Saratoga tradition! Skip your morning exercise to watch some horses get theirs, and enjoy a delectable breakfast while you're at it!
August may have only just begun, but back to school posters are already everywhere! And as much as we love fall in Saratoga, we aren't ready to kiss summer goodbye just yet. So beat the end of summer blues; we're already planning for a fall we can look forward to!

The New York Racing Association (NYRA) and the National Steeplechase Association (NSA) will team up to bring you this major event. The festival will have at least five races, four of which will feature hurdles.
There will be corporate tents as well a spectators tent at the final jump on the infield. The spectators tent will hold 150 patrons and will include a catered lunch! The following organizations have reserved corporate tents on the infield: Capital OTB, Fasig-Tipton, Gideon Putnam Resort, New York Thoroughbred Breeders, New York Thoroughbred Breeding & Development Fund, Sackatoga Stables, Saratoga Convention & Tourism, and the Saratoga County Chamber.
