Don't Throw Away Your Old Costumes, Donate Them!

Before you decide to throw away your old Halloween costumes, donate them to the families served by Franklin Community Center in Saratoga Springs NY. The price of a Halloween costume can make the holiday a tough time for some families in need, but you can make a difference this year by donating your costumes.

After you wear a Halloween costume once or twice what do you do with it? You probably throw it in the garbage or keep in the closet to collect dust. This year you can do something different and start fall on a positive note by donating your old disguise or costume to the Halloween Costume Drive at the Comic Depot (near the Ruby Tuesday entrance) in the Wilton Mall.

The Halloween Costume Drive is currently running until October 14, and is accepting any new or gently used costumes. Families served by the Franklin Community Center will receive an invitation to browse through the costumes at Comic Depot. Costume recipient families will be limited to two costumers per family, and must have the invitation pass in order to attend. Once they find a costume or disguise they want to wear for Halloween, the recipients are allowed to leave with the costume free of charge!

This is a great opportunity for anyone to help out the community and help out a family that could miss out on the fun Halloween experience. Before you throw away any of your old costumes, think about the kids you could be helping in Saratoga County

Will you be donating any costumes at the Wilton Mall this year?
